Dear Helena,
Your illustrations are absolutely stunning! I admire your work very, very much. As a person who regularly does technical drawings of archaeological footwear, I have a deep appreciation for the talent of bringing out the features as well as you have.
This brings me to an observation that I hope you will not consider too forward. Your drawings are SO good that it is easy to see several of them are not medieval at all. The one that is labeled as a medieval shoe from Gdansk, for instance, is an early 19th-Century shoe with a pegged sole construction.
I will not burden you too much with my further opinions, but would be willing to hear your thoughts and to offer to be as much help to you as you wish. I will leave it at this, for now, and I subscribe myself,
Very Respectfully Yours,
